Liverpool star Andy Robertson makes Mo Salah underrated claim despite Egyptian large praises

Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson believes his teammate Mohamed Salah is still underrated despite all the praise the Egyptian has been receiving lately.

Salah has been having the time of his life with Liverpool this season, he started strong, scoring nine goals in nine games across all competitions, with his latest coming as a magical solo goal against Manchester City in a 2-2 thriller on Sunday.

The Egypt international has now scored 103 Premier League goals and he is a goal away from equalling Didier Drogba’s record as the highest-scoring African player in Premier League history.

Following his breathtaking shows and record-breaking performance, Salah has now become the talk of the footballing world as pundits and fans alike heaped praises on him.

However, Robertson believes Salah is still not getting the credit he deserves as he’s one of the best players in the world.

“He’s right up there for me. I still think he is incredibly underrated in terms of the way people speak about him,” said the Scotland captain.

“The goal is something that was out of the top, top drawer. When that goal went in, I think everybody was in shock.

“It’s just a shame it wasn’t the winning goal because it certainly deserved it.

“In a high [quality] game, with two teams full of really good players, for somebody to pop up with that it really is sensational.

“Mo is an incredible pro, an incredible footballer, and an incredible person.

“Off the pitch, he works so hard to keep fit and stay in the shape he is and to put everything into his game and improve.

“He is getting better and better every season but that goal was, I think, right up there with his best for Liverpool.

“For him to keep producing season after season is incredible consistency and long may that continue.”
