Salah, Mane and Keita send Liverpool 3-0 up against Crystal Palace while Zaha and Kouyate shine

Liverpool beat Crystal Palace at the Anfield this afternoon with Salah, Mane and Keita scoring for Jurgen Klopp’s side while Wilfried Zaha, Jordan Ayew and Cheikhou Kouyate not just started but shine for the losing side.

The Reds have made a brilliant start to their 2021/22 campaign with 13 points from their first five games.

Slowly, people are beginning to talk about them as title contenders after the club took a backseat during the summer transfer window. They cruise into another convincing victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds look to carry over momentum from their thrilling Champions League win against AC Milan midweek, with Patrick Vieira’s Eagles the next victim.

Thanks to African trio Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita that produced the 3-0 score line. Palace held Liverpool for most minutes of the first half before Mane broke the deadlock two minutes to end the half.

The Senegalese International reacted the quickest to Salah’s rebound from a tight angle after the Egyptian’s initial header to goal was parried by Palace keeper Guaita.

Liverpool piled the pressure but they had to wait till 78’ minutes to double their lead through Mohamed Salah.

Guinean International Naby Keita completed Liverpool 3-0 score line a minute to end the game. This is the first time this season all Salah, Mane and Keita have scored for Liverpool in a single game.

At the other end, Wilfred Zaha, Jordan Ayew and Cheikhou Kouyate were named in Palace starting XI as the Ivorian and Ghanaian Internationals completed the entire proceedings.

However, Kouyate was replaced by French International Michael Olise eight minutes to full time.

Liverpool now lead the table with 13 points after 5th week of the English Premier League.
