Simba Sporting Club have shown interest in signing one of Ghana Premier League stars Yaw Annor from Ash Gold at the end of the season.

The forward currently sit second place on the Ghana Premier League top scorer chat with 20 goals while Cameroonian International Franck Thierry Mbella Etouga leads with 21 goals as Mbella’s season has ended last Saturday.

Annor now has the chance to tie and clinch the goalking award with a strike or two in Sunday’s Ghana Premier League at Bibiani.

The Simba target has improved his performance in the second round of the Ghana Premier League seeing several clubs chasing his signature.

The Ghanaian International has already been linked with a move to Europe, champions Asante Kotoko and Simba have entered the race for Yaw Annor.

Simba have seen their Tanzanian Premier League dominance shut down by Young Africans this term while they continue to fail achieve their Caf inter club football ambitions.

As preparations have already begun towards the two competitions next term despite four games remaining in the current season, Simba want to sign Yaw Annor to bolster their next season’s campaign.

The second place side have previously been linked with Hearts of Oak midfielder Seidu Suraji and Fatawu Mohammed, and have targeted another Ghana Premier League star Annor in the course of the summer transfer window.

Annor is chasing the Ghana Premier League goalking with 20 goals as it stand now. As Ash Gold take on Bibiani Gold Stars in last day fixture on Sunday, Annor with a goal will tie with Asante Kotoko’s leading man Frank Thierry Mbella Etouga on 21 each.

The GPL champions completed their season following 1-1 draw at Accra Lions on Saturday where Mbella failed to increase his tally, given Simba target Yaw Annor advantage in race for the top scorer award.

If Annor finally ends up winning the GPL goalking, it limits Simba’s chances of signing the Ghanaian International with the parent club reportedly will demand a huge sum of around 800, 000-1M Dollars in exchange for Annor’s signature if he wins the goalking.

Aside the big asking price that could ward off Simba, there is a huge competition from Ghana league champions Asante Kotoko, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Europe.

Kotoko have shortlisted Annor in aid to bolster their CAF Champions League- which begins in August.

However, the Tanzanian side may have their own destiny in their hands where they need to start negotiations early before any delay could invite more stiffer competitions.

Although Annor may want a move to Asante Kotoko, he has not ruled out a move to Simba Sporting Club either.
