Al Ahly set to beat Esperance de Tunis for Hearts of Oak forward Afriyie Barnieh after Egyptian side open talks
Al Ahly are set to beat their North African rivals Esperance de Tunis for the signature of Hearts of Oak forward Afriyie Barnieh. Esperance has been linked with the attacker since the start of last season failing to capture the Ghanaian International last January.

Barnieh has had a tremendous transition helping Ghana U20 to win African Youth Championship in Mauritania, assisting the Black Galaxies to qualify for 2023 African Nations Championship and being one of the two local players to feature for the Black Stars at the Qatar World Cup.
Since the period, Barnieh has seen several clubs knocking the door for his signature including Esperance who could have had the striker playing for them when he appeared in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Ghanaian portal Kickgh reports that the Egyptian Premier League side have begun negotiations with Hearts of Oak for the service of their marksman Daniel Afriyie Barnieh who has is still reluctant on extending his contract.
Barnieh contract at Hearts of Oak ends at the end of this month. The ‘Phobians’ have tried all means to maintain the enterprising forward but looks like the player has already made up his mind and is willing for a new challenge elsewhere.
