Egypt handball advance to Mediterranean Games final after after beating North Macedonia 34-20

Egypt handball national team has advanced to the Mediterranean Games final after beating North Macedonia 34-20.

The 2022 Mediterranean Games [commonly known as Oran 2022] is an ongoing international multi-sport event held from 25 June to 6 July 2022 in Oran, Algeria.

The Pharaohs kicked off their handball competition with a first-place finish in the group stage ahead of Tunisia, Serbia, and Italy.

In the semi-finals, they came face to face with North Macedonia, and the game was completely dominated by the Egyptians as they finished on top with a final result of 34-20.

In the final, Egypt will clash with the winner between Spain and Serbia for the gold medals, the game will take place tomorrow before the closing ceremony.

It’s worth noting that Egypt have won the competition’s first place once before, in the 2013 edition in Turkey.
