Pitso Mosimane talks about Al Ahly second leg clash in Caf Champions League against ES Setif
Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane is confident his team can beat ‘strong’ ES Setif ahead of the two titans clash in Algeria.
The Red Devils put one foot in the CAF Champions League final after earning a dominant 4-0 win over ES Setif in the first leg of the semi-finals.
Taher Mohamed, Mohamed Sherif, and Percy Tau were all on the scoresheet as Al Ahly are now on the verge of qualification to the final for the third consecutive season.
However, Setif have not given up yet as they still believe in their chances to advance to the prestigious tournament’s final.
Ahead of the second leg game, Mosimane showed respect to his opponents while also stressing that his team will be playing to win.
“We are not thinking about the first leg game anymore, we’ll play as if we had a draw in Cairo,” Mosimane said.
“There have been so many comeback stories in football, that’s why we will be fully focused during the game.
“Setif is a strong team but we came here to win. It will be a difficult game but we will play for victory.”
