Petro Luanda vs Mamelodi Sundowns confirmed lineups Caf Champions League quarter-finals first leg

Mamelodi Sundowns return to continental duty in a CAF Champions League quarter-final first-leg assignment against Petro de Luanda at the 11 de Novembro on Saturday.

The Brazilians qualified for the last eight as the winners of Group A ahead of Al Ahly, whom they beat twice along the way.

Also, Sundowns did not lose any of their six matches and only dropped points once which came away against Al Merrikh SC at a neutral venue in Cairo.

Masandawana have not slowed down and have won all of their last six matches in all competitions, with heavy wins over Summerfield Dynamos and Golden Arrows in the process.

Petro finished second in Group D to earn a quarter-final spot and won their last match 3-0 against Sporting de Cabinda, but were thrashed 5-1 by Wydad in their last Champions League match.

This isn’t going to be the first time that the Brazilians tackle Petro in this tournament, with Masandawana winning the last meeting 4-2 on aggregate two years ago in the preliminary round.
