Mamelodi Sundowns are officially in talks with Promise Mkhuma camp for the player exit

Mamelodi Sundowns are officially in talks with Promise Mkhuma’s camp for the player’s exit. The South African International joined the Brazilians in 2019 and could depart after three years due to limited playing time.

Mkhuma finished the 2021/22 season without playing a single match in the DStv Premiership and his agent Mike Makaab has recently confirmed to Soccer Laduma the  that he would make his way up to Johannesburg to talk about the player’s future.

Makaab has since revealed that he is currently in talks with Sundowns over the player’s exit, due to the fact that game-time is not guaranteed in the coming season. With Sundowns expected to welcome Abubeker Nassir and a few other players in the transfer window, Mkhuma’s chances of playing are even less.

It’s understood Mkhuma is open to both a permanent or loan move, as long as it benefits him going forward. At age 22, Mkhuma’s camp believes he should be playing regular football, but he is unlikely to get that at Sundowns.

“At the moment we are still in discussions with Sundowns, but we won’t have a decision this week,” Makaab told the Siya crew.

SuperSport United remain interested in the former under-20 player, but are believed to be waiting to hear what’s the next step with the player at Sundowns. Cape Town City are another club that has been looking at the player, as well as Sekhukhune United.

Sundowns have their eyes in the Ghana Premier League for additions as Hearts of Oak man Afriyie Barnieh and Kotoko defender Abdul Ganiyu are said to appear of Brazilians’ radar.
