South African International Bernard Parker has planned after football to become a manager.  It’s understood that Parker who currently plays for Kaizer Chiefs would want to coach at with no one else than Chiefs.

According to his agent, Bernard Parker has already set out his path beyond his playing days – and he would like for it to be with Kaizer Chiefs.

Mike Makaab of ProSport International has revealed that the veteran striker has begun planning for life after football and has his sights set on being a coach, although he says those talks won’t be entered into in haste.

Parker, 35, was offered a one-year extension to his Amakhosi contract in July and will have to sit down with the club yet again to discuss his options beyond the current season, in which he has become Chiefs’ all-time goal scorer in the Premier Soccer League era.

“We won’t enter into any discussions until later in the season. We also don’t want to put Bernard under any pressure,” Makaab said.

The agent added that Parker, who has a diploma in sports management and marketing, is keen to work for Chiefs after he hangs up his boots if they will have him.

“He has made it clear that in life after football he would love to be involved on the coaching side, and we would like for that to happen at Kaizer Chiefs.

“I can see Bernard with a long term future at Chiefs – in a different role going forward. But one step at a time, let’s enjoy the wonderful season that he is having at the moment. It’s been a wonderful past few months,” his long-time agent explained.
