Manchester United confident of Sancho deadline transfer after considering selling James to fund move

Manchester United are reportedly confident of signing Jadon Sancho in deadline according to latest reports.

The Premier League side have had tough campaign to reach agreement with Borussia Dortmund over Jadon Sancho’s deal despite already having agreement in principle with the 20-year old forward.

Dortmund have asked United to pay not less than £108million in exchange for the former Manchester City winger. However, with viral impacts from the coronavirus pandemic, United have failed to match Dortmund’s asking price but Ole’s side on the flip side are not too far away from Sancho price tag.

It is understood that Manchester United have tabled approximately  £80million but that figured has been relegated to the background by the Bundesliga outfit.

While it seems United haven’t terminated their pursuit of Sancho, an improved offer- a new £20-25million adding to their £80million in-hand would get the job on Sancho done before this summer’s transfer window ends on Monday.

But United are having problems to provide the new £20-25million and now knee do so by selling Daniel James according to ESPN.

The 20-year old is already leaving up to expectation since graduating into the first team but Ole Gunnar Solskjær is reportedly willing to sell the Wales International in a bid to fund Sancho’s move.

The ESPN report suggest that while the United manager is certain to let James leave, a challenge exist. That is, Ole is yet to convince United’s board about James’ sale that could earn the club at least £20million. And Leeds United have reportedly offered United £20million to sign James according to WalesOnline.

Should United succeed in selling Daniel James, they would complete a deadline move for Sancho. However, if Sancho’s transfer falls through on deadline, United would consider Ousmane Dembélé- who is  considered alternative for Sancho.

The former Premier League champions have received latest boost in Dembélé’s deal after the French International reportedly now willing to join Manchester United this summer.

Dembélé had never though of joining Manchester United but he has now consider to leave Barcelona for United claimed by the Evening Standard.

The English publication reports that Dembele’s omission from Barca’s 3-0 victory over Celta Vigo last Thursday has caused a the French’s change of heart to seal a move to Old Trafford.
