BREAKING: Chelsea agree £50million deal for Timo Werner after Frank Lampard ready to German’s release clause

According to latest reports, Chelsea are now favorites to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig when the next transfer window opens after agreeing to pay £50million for the German.

The German forward were believed to want a move to Liverpool after public stating his willingness to join the European champions and describing their manager Jurgen Klopp as the ‘best coach in the world.’

Werner ruled out a possible move to Bayern Munich last month to indicate his readiness the quit the German Bundesliga for other league abroad this summer and the Premier League could be his next league.

A close source to the striker recently revealed Werner happiness to complete Chelsea move amid playing regular football which the West London are believed can offer him.

It is now revealed that Chelsea have agreed a £50million deal for RB Leipzig star Timo Werner as claimed by the The Sun.  The striker looks set to sign a five-year contract after Frank Lampard made it clear he is ready to meet the German’s release clause.

Werner will pocket around £175,000-a-week, making him one of Chelsea’s top earners. But there is still the danger of Liverpool making a last-gasp bid.

Having already signed £37million Hakim Ziyech from Ajax in January, Werner is expected to be Frank Lampard’s second major signing.
