Napoli ready to cash in on Kalidou Koulibaly as speculations continue to link him with Manchester United

Reports this evening from Italy suggest that Napoli start Kalidou Koulibaly would be considered evaluating offers for this summer.

The Senegalese have been chased by numerous clubs across Europe for the past three transfer windows but Napoli have always completely overlooked offers to let the defender leave in those transfer windows.

According to sources, Manchester United came very close to signing Koulibaly but Napoli was unable to soften their stance, particularly on the valuation placed on the defender. United were forced to turn attention to Harry Maguire before they finally snatched the English from Leicester City for a World record fee of £80m for a defender last summer.

Napoli are reportedly ready to sell the 28-year-old, and club president Aurelio De Laurentiis who have always looked reluctant the let the defender leave is now ready to welcome offers in the summer transfer window as claimed by Gazzetta dello Sport.

Despite ready to let their super star leave, De Laurentiis will not do so for a cheap price. Manchester United failed to reach agree with Koulibaly in January and are expected to make a move for the defenderwhen the transfer window reopens.

Extending further, Ole’s side already have plans for the defender and could make him the most expensive defender in the World where they are reported to set a £90m plus money to embark on the transfer at the end of the season.
