Manchester United are reportedly finally find alternative for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, and that means Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side have been monitoring Schalke winger Rabbi Matondo as the summer transfer window approaches.

United are preparing to make a move for Jadon Sancho this term but fear the £100million valuation by Dortmund.

Although the Manchester club are not financially strapped, but they prioritize cost-effective transfers in this summer window when the crisis from the virus could have much impact on the market.

Manchester United are now planning to redraw from Sancho’s transfer race if Dortmund continue to hold on their huge asking price.

In light of this, United are monitoring Rabbi Matondo of Schalke as a possible back-up target for Jadon Sancho.

Matondo have a low asking price, and the Premier League outfits see the winger as ‘low-risk buy’ this summer.

Matondo, 19, has enjoyed a perfect start to life in the German Bundesliga since signing a 4-year contract at Schalke from Manchester City last year.

The 19-year-old winger has started eight times in the Bundesliga before it was halted by the world health crisis.
