Man United set to submit second bid for Mason Mount

Manchester United are readying a second bid not more than £60million for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.

United have been looking forward to sign Mason Mount since the English International’s future at Stamford Bridge became uncertain in the course of the ended season.

Man United submitted £40million in their first approach as Erik ten Hag keen on bolstering his midfield in second successive seasons. Chelsea rejected United’s initial offer early this week believed to be below the West London side’s asking price.

United who have a strong believe that Mount will leave Chelsea this summer are preparing a second bid in a region of £60million to be submitted next week.

According to CBS Sports, United will lodge another bid, knowing Mount is likely to leave Stamford Bridge and is keen on joining Ten Hag’s project.

However, the Red Devils aren’t preparing to surpass the £60million mark for a player entering the final 12 months of his contract.

Mount is one of the 12 players likely to leave Chelsea this summer off Mauricio Pochettino’s new project. United have been somehow strict in journey to land Mount.

Chelsea should be expected to accept United’s second offer with Pochettino’s side keen on adding reinforcements in middle of the park which means Mount will stilll be pushed further backward in pegging order if he stays at Stamford Bridge next season.
