Kim Min-Jae: Thomas Tuchel causing Man United major headache on two transfer targets

Bayer Munich boss Thomas Tuchel is causing Man United major headache on two transfer targets this summer after entering into race for Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae.

Man United have been active in the ongoing transfer window after been linked with several players.

Erik ten Hag is keen on bringing in the likes of Mason Mount, Harry Kane, Rasmus Hojlund, Kim Min-jae and Randal Kolo Muani.

United have struggled to have the breakthroughs after Chelsea reportedly rejecting United’s opening offer of 40million pounds for Mount while Tottenham President Daniel Levy has blocked Harry Kane’s move to any Premier League rival.

The Sun has reported that Erik ten Hag’s side have suffered a latest twist on Kim Min-jae and Randal Kolo Muani.

The Brit outlet reports that Bayern Munich have thrown a real spanner in the works as boss Thomas Tuchel has identified his key summer targets, thought to include Kim Min-jae and Randal Kolo Muani.

This has come as bad news for Man Utd as two of these were players the Red Devils had been confident in bringing to Old Trafford this window.

Both Kim Min-jae and Randal Kolo Muani are on the German side’s shortlist and Bayern seem to be acting upon these transfers.

Bayern have contacted Min-jae’s reps over a deal for the South Korean and are likely to reach agreement with the Serie A side.

United had already begun similar move with the Reds close to have agreed a deal for the defender this summer but Bayern are front runners at the moment.

Min-Jae has rejected talks for Napoli contract renewal that will have seen the South Korean enjoy a pay rise. The center-back has decided to leave Napoli and Bayern are clear favourites especially if they acted smartly in the first two weeks of July.

There is a clause that allows the defender leave Napoli for 50million ponds if it is activated in the first two weeks of July.

Bayern are working toward this clause after Tuchel identifying Min-Jae as a top priority within this few days.

Kim min-Jae helped Napoli to win the 2022-2023 Serie A title and was awarded best defender in the Italian top flight.
