JADON SANCHO benched in Dortmund’s victory over RB Leipzig because of Manchester United transfer

Jadon Sancho has been in the summer transfer talks for a while having most discussions linking the English International to Manchester United and Chelsea move.

At a point, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were also in the pipe line to sign the Borussia Dortmund winger but these clubs later decided to end their pursuit leaving Ole Gunnar Solskjær and Frank Lampard’s sides to compete for Sancho’s signature.

Chelsea have acted smartly in the summer transfer window after signing Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner from Ajax and RB Leipzig respectively and the West Londons have failed to submit official bid for Sancho as interest in him has cooled down.

Manchester United have also not submitted Sancho offer yet but they are reportedly make significant step in landing the England ace after agreeing personnel terms with player last month.

But the Manchester club are stuck in the transfer process after Dortmund unwilling to soften their stance on Sancho’s huge £120million asking price- a price that have prevented all potential suitors for the 20-year old attacking midfielder.

Having suitors seemingly back off in Sancho’s transfer, the former Manchester City teenager looked to stay and focus on his career at Dortmund for at least this season.

However, Dortmund’s latest victory over RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga last Saturday has rekindled speculations of Sancho’s move to Manchester United this summer.

In that game, the Dortmund star was benched as they defeated Leipzig 2-0 at the Red Bull Arena yesterday and German football journalist Heiko Wasser reveals Sancho’s sideline to the bench is due to his consistent link with Manchester United move.

Sancho was introduced into the game when it was 12 minutes to end proceeding which is quite unusual of the former City player to be offered such a small amount of minutes whenever he is fully fit.

And that could mean that the Bundesliga side are now ready to do business with Manchester United- who are still confident to sign Jadon Sancho.

United are believed to already begun negotiation with Dortmund before they stopped talks along the way and could be call back by the Bundesliga outfits for a reduced price for Sancho’s signature.

The 20-year old has been in terrific form for Dortmund this season failing to involve in goals only three times in his 43 outings for the German side in the 2019/2020 campaign.

He has latched 20 goals and helped his team-mates find back of the net 20 times in all competitions so far, and would grab the opportunity to join Manchester United.
