Manchester United submit improved bid worth £50million for Chelsea midfeilder Mason Mount |

Manchester United have submitted an improved offer worth up to £50million for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.

The fresh United bid consists of a £45m initial fee plus £5m in add-ons. But Chelsea have countered this and requested a £60m fee plus £5m in add-ons.

An agreement is edging closer but is not yet in place. It’s understood Chelsea would lower their asking price by £5m-£10m difference and the West London side could ask United up a bid their current offer to be able to agree on a fee.

The trend from both side could see a £55m deal agreed between Chelsea and Mason Mount who have been linked with a move to Old Trafford throughout the summer.
