Chelsea to begin talks with Lyon over £43 Houssem Aouar transfer
Chelsea are reportedly open talks with Olympique Lyon over a possible move of Houssem Aouar from the Ligue 1 to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea looks desperate to find reinforcement after failing to impress in all their big games this season, having been unable to find victory against likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and their humiliation against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Frank Lampard have already been linked with many top talents which most of them are wingers and strikers, and with N’Golo Kante gradually turning to be injury prone to limit the quantity and quality in midfield, Houssem Aouar has now become a top transfer target for Chelsea.
According to reports, Frank Lampard is ready to add the 21-year-old talent to his squad in summer, and Tuttomercatoweb have claimed the West London have already made contact with the Ligue 1 outfit over a potential transfer for the French International.
It is unclear whether Lyon are willing to do any business, meaning whether they are ready to sell Aouar for any price. But Chelsea have valuation of around £42million (€50m) for the Lyon midfielder, and could trade in summer.
However, they face a strong competition from Juventus, where the Italian outfits are also eyeing the midfield after witnessing a dominant performance form Aouar when Lyon met Juve in the Champions League last Wednesday.
