Former legend urges Hearts of Oak to beat Club Industriel Kamsar in Caf Champions League
Hearts of Oak will welcome Guinean side Club Industriel Kamsar to the Accra Sports Stadium for a preliminary fixture in the 2021-2022 Caf Champions League.
Both clubs are weight up the possibility of beating their opponents with the Ghana Premier League side now having the advantage after the game been announced to be played once and at Hearts’ famous Accra Sports Stadium.
However, legend Charles Taylor has cautioned them against complacency against the Guinean side on Sunday.
The first leg encounter which was supposed to be held in Guinean was cancelled due to the political unrest in the country. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) communicated changes in the clash through the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

“Accra Hearts of Oak SC will play CL Kamsar of Guinea in a single match on September 19, 2021 at the Accra Sports Stadium with the winner of the tie set to advance to the next stage of the 2021-22 Total Energies Caf Champions League,” the GFA announced via Goal.
“The Organising Committee of the Competition has decided that the match which was scheduled to be played in Guinea this weekend will not take place in view of the political unrest in the country.
“The winner of this single match will qualify to the 2nd preliminary round of the competition. In case of a draw at the end of the regulatory time, the winner shall be determined by penalty kicks in accordance to the Laws of the Game.”
Taylor has issued warning to the Hearts of Oak players while highlighting the difference between the Ghana Premier League and continental football.
“The (Hearts) players should know that the Ghana Premier League and the Caf Champions League are different so they should fight hard and I believe that hearts will win over CI Kamsar of guinea, he told Original FM.
Taylor’s comments may come as word that Hearts players must learn from. Heart conquered last season’s Ghana Premier League. Though they struggled in start of the campaign, however, they gradually became a team to beat in later stages of the Ghanaian top flight league.

They went unbeaten in 11 out of the last 12 Ghana Premier League fixtures. Their only defeat came in hands of West Africa Football Academy (Wafa) in last day of the Ghana Premier League.
The form in later stages of the league has generated undefeated sense for Hearts players but their last two games means they should listen from what their legend Taylor has issued.
They traveled to Togo and lost 1-0 to ASKO de Kara in International friendly ahead of their continental fixture against Kamsar. They returned and lost to newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions 2-3 last weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The winner between Hearts and Kamsar face Morocco Premier League giants Wydad Athletic Club in the second round of the Caf Champions League qualifying phase. .
