Match Preview- Aduana Stars vs King Faisal, Team News in MTN FA Cup

There will be tense Ghana Premier League duo meeting in quarter-finals of the MTN FA Cup when Aduana Stars welcome King Faisal to the Nana Agyemang Badu II Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Defending champions Hearts of Oak could challenge for the title by one of these two teams with Aduana Stars looking the likeliest side to do that. King Faisal managed to crush out rivals Asante Kotoko in round of 64 fixture at Kotoko and have been handed another Premier League at the quarter-finals stage.

The FA Cup clash will the third time Aduana Stars and King Faisal meet this term having already squared off twice against each other in the Ghana Premier League, with the two sides winning a game each.

The ‘Insha Allah’ side exhibited a five star display the last time they played here, where they surprisingly humbled Aduana Stars by 1-3 and will look to replicate the same output this afternoon.
The ‘Ogya lads’ have been sensational in the league cup this season having edged out Eleven Wonders in the first round before humiliating Berekum Freedom Fighters in the round of 32.

They humbled giants Asante Kotoko in the round of 64, staged a revenge against Karela United in the next round before thumping on RTU by 2-4 in the round of 16 in Techiman.

Aduana Stars have no any major injury concerns from their last game and will have all their players fully fit for the game. The likes of Prince Acquah, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Kwame Adom Frimpong, Stephen Adams and Farouk Adams are expected to face King Faisal.
For the visitors, head coach Nurudeen Amadu stepped down following their defeat to Elmina Sharks over the weekend marking their six straight defeat and the team will be led by assistant coach Abubakar Fatawu heading into the game today.
