Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan completes move to English club Carlton Town FC

Former Asante Kotoko and Ghana goalkeeper Felix Annan has completed a move to the English semi-professional side Carlton Town FC, as a free agent.

After spending nearly a decade with Asante Kotoko, Annan left the Ghana Premier League club before the start of the 2021/22 season.

Following his time in America with Maryland Bobcats, the talented shot-stopper has now found a new footballing opportunity with Carlton Town FC in England. Annan expressed his delight at completing the move to the English lower-tier side.

Felix Annan’s football journey began at Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord Academy before he signed for Asante Kotoko. He gained valuable experience during loan spells with Real Tamale United in 2014 and later with the West African Football Academy in 2015.

On June 9, 2019, Annan earned his debut for the Ghana national team, the Black Stars, in a friendly match against Namibia, which unfortunately ended in a 1–0 defeat.

He was also a part of the Black Stars squad that represented Ghana at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Egypt.

Anann, 28, also helped the Black Galaxies to WAFU finals only losing to hosts Senegal in the final. The 28-year old rose to prominence in the 2018-2019 season helping Asante Kotoko to reach group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
