GHALCA to share the ‘President Cup’ gate proceeds with the two clubs – Kudjoe Fianoo
GHALCA Chairman, Kudjoe Fianoo has disclosed they are going to share the gate proceeds that will be raised in the President Cup with the two partaking clubs.
The President Cup game hasn’t been played for the past three years now and is finally getting back this year, scheduled for March 4, 2022.
The two clubs, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko after accepting to play, will pocket Ghc50,000 each as an appearance fee from the organisers.
However, Kudjoe Fianoo has explained having taking the appearance fee, the two clubs will also earn 50% of the total gate proceeds whiles GHALCA takes the rest to cater for needs of the association. He told Akoma FM in Kumasi;
“Football is all about Business and at the same time to bring us together. So the two clubs will take an appearance fee of 50,000 cedis each and then the gate proceeds will be shared.”
“Ghalca as an Organizers will take 50% and the two clubs will share will take 25% each of the remaining 50%. There will be a trophy and other medals.”
