King Faisal hit with numerous first team departures

President of King Faisal FC, Alhaji Karim Grusah has confirmed the recent speculations that, most of their senior players have left the club right after the end of the season.

Speaking to Isaac Owusu Ansah on Ashh FM this afternoon, the former GFA EXCO member has confirmed six experience players in the team have left all due to disciplinary issues.

He stated goalkeeper Frank Boateng, Wadudu Yakubu all had a year left in their contracts but asked for it to be terminated. Also he added skipper Richard Akrofi and Pius Baffour have also run out of contract at the club. He said;
“At the moment, Attah Kusi, Richard Akrofi ain’t our players anymore. Frank had one left but he’s asked for it to be terminated and we’ve also accepted so as Pius Baffour, Wiafe and Wadudu Yakubu.”
“I’m now waiting for the coach. He will return on July 15 or 20. I’m telling you that, you will see lots of talented Kumasi boys in the team.”
King Faisal finished the season on the 14th position with 42 points.
They ‘Insha Allah’ lads will regroup for preseason very soon.
