Asante Kotoko request GFA Players’ Status Committee to adjourned Kjetil Zachariassen dismissal case

Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko has requested the GFA Players’ Status Committee (PSC) to adjourned their dismissal case of former boss Kjetil Zachariassen to 13th February, 2020.

And that happened yesterday Thursday when representatives of Zachariassen lawyer Prosper Ntow and agent Charles Kouadio came face-to-face with Kotoko who were also represented by Greater Accra Regional Circles Chairman and member of management Nana Kwame Dankwa and two lawyers at the PSC.

Zachariassen, a Norwegian trainer dragged the Ghanaian Champions to the GFA body (PSC) partly responsible for seeking contractual redresses for players, coaches and other important actors in Ghana football after the Norwegian was sacked for leading a poor campaign in the 2019-2020 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

Asante Kotoko may have seen nothing wrong about the dismissal of their former boss but the former Ash Gold trainer accepted the sacking act as wrongful as per his contractual agreement with his Baba Yara bosses, therefore taking to seek redress at the GFA body.

Lawyer Prosper Ntow, Zachariassen’s key rep has now revealed that the dismissal case has been adjourned and that was at the sole request of the Kumasi based club when the Lawyer disclosed to Fox Fm in Kumasi.

“Today we went to the Player’s Status Committee and the case (Zachariassen vs Asante Kotoko SC over alleged unfair dismissal) has been adjourned to 13th February, 2020 when there will be a full hearing.

“The Player Status officials were present but Kotoko officials asked for time to file for some processes, so the Committee gave them that chance to file for their processes.

“I went along with Charles Kouadio, agent of Zakariassen and Kotoko were represented by Nana Kwame Dankwah and two lawyers”.

Asante Kotoko have be in a happy mood this week after their 2-1 victory over fierce rivals Hearts of Oak last Sunday and thrashed a lower division side Denelson FC 6-0 yesterday.

They now have Liberty Professionals as their next opponents coming Sunday at Baba Yara  Stadium.
