The 30-year-old has 18 months left on his contract and shelved talks over a new deal in November, as it is understood he is desperate to play Champions League football again.

That has alerted major clubs to his availability with Inter and Barcelona both interested in the prolific forward.

It is understood that Arsenal are unwilling to cash in on the Gabonese this January.

Mikel Arteta is also fighting to try to keep Granit Xhaka at Arsenal, with the midfielder pushing for a move to Hertha Berlin.
