Asante Kotoko confirm second summer signing in Yussif Mubarik

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have confirmed their second summer signing after completing deal of Yussif Mubarik.

The former Ash Gold defender remained a free agent after failing the reach contract extension with CAF Confederation Cup representatives.

The 23-year-old has been in the transfer market since cancellation of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League with most transfer talks linking him with a move to Kotoko.

He becomes the second player to officially announce by the Porcupine Warriors this week after already announcing a deal for Emmanuel Keyekeh from Karela United.

The former Liberty Professionals centre-back’s signing should bolster Kotoko’s defence for the CAF Champions League campaign which the club has set a priority for their 2020/21 season.

He was one of the best performers in the Ghana Premier League during his three-year stint with Ash Gold.
