BREAKING: Zamalek have already made decision to sack Micho, former Al Ahly boss Patrice Carteron to be appointed

Egyptian heavyweights Zamalek are ready to sack Micho as Patrice Carteron is set to be appointed as replacement.

There were initial reports suggesting the sack of Micho from his post at Zamalek following the club’s shocking defeat to relegation zoned ENPPI. As evidence was drawn on twitter, Zamalek supporters called for the termination of Micho’s contract, where “Micho Must Walk” hashtag was trending on the social media platform after ENPPI defeat.

But club president Mortada Mansour knew the sack of the Serbian would jeopardize Zamalek’s CAF Champions league game against TP Mazembe last Saturday and threw his support for Micho.

With Zamalek humiliated by TP Mazembe in emphatic 3-0 win over the White Knights, rumours of “Micho-Out” have appeared tensed and closer where it’s was believed that the Serbian would be shown the exit door today Monday.

As many were expecting the announcement of the Serbian sack on Monday, Zamalek President however has increased tension on Micho’s future by saying that his club have already taken a decision on the Serbian’s future and that decision would be announced anytime soon- which is likely to be this week.

“Of course, we are very disappointed after the Enppi and Mazembe games. But there have been mistakes from the staff and players,” Mansour said, as per KingFut.

“Zamalek’s board had a meeting and we made a unanimous decision regarding Micho’s future, but I will not announce it today.

“I will meet with him [Micho] first because he has some personal issues that he wants to discuss with me. Our decision will be announced after that meeting.

“What we’ve seen from the players recently does not represent Zamalek at all.”

Latest report indicate that Zamalek could appoint former Al Ahly boss Patrice Carteron to steer the affairs of the White Knights, claimed by KingFut. It is believed that Mansour has made contact with Carteron to take charge at Zamalek.

Experience Carteron who was recently fired by Raja Casablanca could return to Egypt after leading Al Ahly to the 2018 CAF Champions League final, losing painfully to Esperance on 4-3 aggregate over two-legged tie. But one of Carteron’s best glory days in African football could be counted during his three year spell at TP Mazemebe from 2013 to 2016, guiding Mazembe to lift the 2015 CAF Champions League.
