Ghana secumbed narrowly to Portugal in their opening game before bouncing back to winning ways after 3-2 victory over South Korea who finally went through to the knockout phase of the tournament after beating Portugal in last round of group matches.

Throughout Ghana’s journey in Qatar, Kudus Mohammed has been the main man scoring two goals and an assist in a 3-goal contribution stats.

Coming to the World Cup, the Ghanaian International had already attracted interested with Everton failing to sign the 23-year last summer while key European clubs have kept checks on the midfielder in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Following his display in Qatar, Kudus Mohammed has emerged on the radar of Premier League dou Arsenal and Tottenham ahead of a summer move.

Everton who missed out on Kudus’ signature at the beginning of the season haven’t departed from this transfer while the likes of Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are also tracking Kudus Mohammed.

Kudus has the prospect of a Premier League move due to his exploit in the UEFA Champions League netting 4 times in 6 games so far and is a big game player after shining against Liverpool and in Ghana’s World Cup clashes with Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.

But Black Stars’ early exit of the Qatar World Cup may have hampered his chances of a transfer to Arsenal who are said to be favourites for the Ghanaian International.

Ghana failed to make it out of Group H following 2-0 loss to Uruguay Friday afternoon with Portugal and South Korea sailing through to round of 16.

Portugal topped the group with 6 points while South Korea accumulated 4 points with superior goals scored off Uruguay who also finished with 4 points.

Ghana finished last with 3 points after beating second placed side South Korea in the second group game at the Education City Stadium to pick their only three points.

Arsenal or any of the Premier League’s suitors will not deter from making a move for Kudus in the summer, and if they back off in the transfer it may be for other reasons either than Black Stars’ World Cup early exit.

With Mikel Arteta a huge admirer of Kudus and his World Cup performance already recorded which will not be affected by the early exit though progressing further could have added value to his transfer price, Arsenal are expected to make a move for the Ajax midfielder at the end of the season.

Kudus has helped Ajax to a second position in the Dutch Eredivisie and expected to contribute to at the end of season league glory.

This means Kudus’ move to the Premier League in January is somehow out of the equation though anything can happen. Arsenal lead the English Premier League with 37 points after 14 games and could get Kudus Mohammed signing done and dusted at the end of the season but only if they make an official approach.
