German outfits Mainz 05 set to commit Ghanaian Robin Quaison future to a long term contract

Bundesliga outfits Mainz 05 are looking forward to commit Robin Kwamina Quaison to a long term by offering the former Palermo man a new contract.

The Swedish-Ghanaian has just a year left on his running contract which he will see him become a free agent in summer 2021.

However, the forward’s escalating form this term, grabbing 7 goals out of 17 appearances across all competition has mean the German side wants to offer the Ghanaian a long term contract.

Mainz have already opened discussions with the player, and Mainz Sporting Director Rouven Schröder confirmed their interest in given the player a new deal as the Bundesliga is approaching a return from the Christmas break.

“We talk to the player and his adviser on a regular basis, but it is a long way off”, Mainz Sporting Director Rouven Schröder told German Kicker.

Quaison who completed his move to German from Italian outfits Palermo in January 2017 could sign a new three year deal which would see him remain at Opel Stadium until 2024.
