Hearts of Oak interest in Ghana Premier League top scorer Diawisie Taylor confirmed

The mouthwatering proposed Hearts of Oak move for Karela United forward Diawisie Taylor is on the major spotlight after the Ghana Premier League top scorer confirming Hearts’ offer for him.

If Hearts being link with a move for any GPL player would be a surprise deal, it would definitely not involve Karela United star Diawisie Taylor after the striker storming Ghana’s top flight league this season.

The Black Stars B forward came out top scorer of the Ghana Premier League with 18goals in 31 appearances, six more than King Faisal’s Kwame Peprah who emerged runner up on the top scorer chat.

When mid-chat scorers are attracting huge interest from clubs within and beyond Ghana, then Diawisie Taylor would undoubtedly become a Ghana, Africa and Europe top transfer target.

Breaking down the above, the Karela United forward has attracted several interest from Ghanaian, African and European top clubs and that it unsurprising if players who finished in middle if the top scorers table are attracting similar interest.

In Europe, Diawisie is on the radar of Turkish Super Lig outfits Altay and Trabzonspor, Armenian giants Urartu and Bulgarian side Levski.

On the African continent, the likes of TP Mazembe, AS Vita Club, PSL giants Chippa United, Maritzburg United and Orlando Pirates along with newly promoted Egyptian side Pharco FC are all interest with a move for Diawisie Taylor.

For Pharco, they are understood to prepare for new life in the Egyptian Premier League and massive squad overhaul is underway after parting ways with 14 players who helped them gain promotion into the Egyptian top flight.

The 14-man list includes former Al Ahly forward Sherif Ashraf and experienced former national Mohamed Nagy Gedo and Pharco knee on replacing them with Ghana’s league top scorer Futball Surgery understand.

In Ghana, it has been a rumourd two horse race between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak but both clubs are not in the same phase of the transfer.

On part of Kotoko, it’s only a rumour that the Reds are planning to bring Diawisie to Baba Yara Stadium next season but no sign of their interest is officially registered in the Ghanaian media.

On Hearts of Oak, they are set to beat their main rivals to the signature the Ghanaian International after making official contacts with Diawisie’s current club Karela United, the 21-year has confirmed.

“There has been a lot of interest from several clubs with several offers. It is true that Hearts of Oak have also come with an offer which is still being considered by my club and my representatives. Don’t forget I’m still under contract with Karela United,” Diawisie revealed on Kumasi-based radio station Pure FM.

The Ghanaian champions have been acting smartly in the yet-to-open transfer window due to their next season’s Caf Champions League participation. The Accra side are reinforcing all departments of their setup as Diawisie is one of the men identified to lead the front line.

The search for a competent forward has been a major priority despite their three of Afriyie Barnieh, Victor Aidoo and Kwadow Obeng Jr. firing them into domestic glory.

However, landing Diawisie Taylor is an upgrade and would boost their performance in the Champions League and Ghana Premier League campaigns next season.

The 21-year old is ready to play for any of the teams interested in his services and the one the get his signature would depends on who first reach agreement with Karela United.

Hearts are aware of the stiffer competition they face and are pushing Karela United to reach agreement with them to seal a deal for Diawisie.
