Berekum Chelsea are on the verge of signing former CAF Confederation top scorer and two additional former players of Asante Kotoko

The 2010-2011 Ghana Premier League winners Berekum Chelsea are reportedly in talks to sign former CAF Confederation goal-king Eric Bekoe and former players of Kotoko Obed Owusu and Jordan Opoku, according media reports in Ghana.

The Berekum based club have been busy in the ongoing transfer window, securing the services of forward Cephas Doku from Liberty Professionals and Nasiru Osman from Lower Division side Still Believe FC early this week, and hope to make experience liable in the current squad by signing Jordan Opoku, Obed Owusu and 2008 Confederation Cup top scorer Erick Bekoe ahead of the new signing.

Jordan Opoku left Asante Kotoko just last month and the free agent is likely to make a return to his former side Berekum Chelsea, where the veteran made a good impact in Chelsea’s fine campaign in the 2012 CAF Champions League.

Erick Bekoe who took the Ghana Premier League at his feet, netting impressive 17 goals out of 23 games to emerge as the top scorer of the 2007-2008 season, and grabbed 10 goals in the 2008 CAF Confederation Cup is a former player of Chelsea and could complete a re-union with his former employers at Berekum before the end of this transfer.

Obed Owusu also joined Asante Kotoko from Chelesea in August 2014 is also needed back at his former Berekum Golden City Park. According to reports, Chelsea have opened talks with all the three former players, which could see them return back to the Berekum Golden City Park any time soon.
