Lille recorded a 2-1 victory over Montpellier on Friday evening to complete their four games winning streak in French League 1.
Lille have been in the fine form in their last three Ligue 1 games, winning all previous three game. But their last Tuesday defeat in the Champions League to Chelsea failed to yield a loss syndrome on Lille when they welcomed Montpellier to Stade Pierre Mauroy.

Nanitamo Ikone converted a 40’ minute penalty to send Lille 1-0 up at the end of the first half. Montpellier fought back to draw on level on the 74’ minute through Andy Delort.
The game looked to end a 1-1 draw but Renato Sanches late strike 84’ minute was enough to hand Lille their fourth consecutive wins in Ligue 1.

Lille sit third on Ligue 1 table with 31 points from 18 games, 8 points clear below leader PSG and 3 points down second place Marseille.
