Asante Kotoko- Injury boost as Felix Anann resumes training ahead of Great Olympics clash

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko receive injury boost as team captain Felix Anann resumes training at the Adako Jachie Training Complex.

The Ghanaian International has been sidelined for three weeks now after sustaining a head injury in Kotoko’s Ghana Premier League draw against Berekum Chelsea.

Anann has missed Kotoko’s last three games against FC Nouadhibou (home and away) and Legon Cities. Kotoko beat Asamoah Gyan’s Legon Cities 1-0 last Friday to book first victory of the season and work to face Great Olympics in outstanding Ghana Premier League clash this Thursday.

The 25-year old Black Stars shot-stopper could be expected to keep the posts against Olympics for match time before his side finally take on Sudanese giants Al Hilal in the Caf Champions League.

However, he will still need to pass a late assessment test ahead of the Olympics clash. Kotoko have already began preparations for Thursday’s outstanding game where training sessions were observed Sunday.

Annan was seen playing with teammates and training with the ball to highlights his readiness to return to action, even if not in clash with Olympics, against Al Hilal next week Wednesday.

He has keep a clean sheet in his first two Ghana Premier League games and he has saved Kotoko from a season’s defeat especially in game against Berekum Chelsea in Berekum.

He pulled a string of splendid saves to deny Chelsea equalizer after Kwame Opoku had given Kotoko an early lead. Chelsea player struck Anann’s head to cause injury, seeing the first choice substituted for Kwame Baah before the Berekum based side drew level in stoppage time.
