Prosper Narteh Ogum reveals one Bibiani Gold Stars problem Kotoko capitalized to huge victory

Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum has tactically explained the reason behind their stupendous performance, stating Goldstars left so much spaces behind, reason why they humiliated them in Kumasi last night.

The Porcupine Warriors marmalized the Miners by an emphatic 5-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in week 20 of the Ghana Premier League.

George Mfegue scored a brace, coupled with goals from Agustine Agyapong, Samuel Boateng and Frank Etouga Mbella who marked his 14th goal of the season.
Speaking after the game, the ex- WAFA coach looked satisfied with the results and stated they pounced on the spaces their opponents left behind anytime they attack to win this game. He said;
“The performance was ok. We were able to keep the ball, we were able to create spaces. They came too high up on us a lot of times and left spaces behind them and we were able to send those long accurate passes to create those chances to score.”
“Scoring five against Goldstars tells the determination, confidence and the discipline with which the boys used to approach this game and I’m ok with that.”
Asante Kotoko are now leading the league with eight points and will play as guest to Techiman Eleven Wonders in their next game.
Ogum provides injury updates of Ganiyu and Imoro

Coach Prosper Narteh has given a team news update after their game over the weekend concerning the injuries of skipper Abdul Ganiyu Ismail and Imoro Ibrahim.

The ‘Kum Apem’ lads annihilated Bibiani Goldstars by 5-0 to maintain their eight points lead at the summit of the Ghana Premier League after 20 matches.

Skipper Abdul Ganiyu Ismail, after being included in the starting line up picked up a knock in the course of the  warm up and was subsequently replaced by Andrews Appau.
Also, their lanky left back Imoro Ibrahim had a very decent game and was tipped by many as the man of the match last night but couldn’t finish the game after sustaining an injury in the latter part.
Speaking in a post-match, Prosper Narteh sounded very optimistic Ganiyu will recover before their next fixture but will wait for the Doctors report before he will know the extent of that of Imoro. He said;
“Ganiyu injury isn’t that bad but then we had to rest him because in the warm up he complained so we thought it wise that we have an equally competent centre-back in the person of Appau so we decided that we should rest him.
“I’m not sure he will be away for long. He will play in the next game. Imoro’s injury is a bit serious but the medical team will examine him tomorrow so I’m expecting an update on him.”
