Dr Congo open African Nations Championship (CHAN) with narrow victory over Congo Brazzaville
Dr Congo claim narrow victory over Congo Brazzaville in 2021 CHAN opening game as the former champions go top of group B.
The group’s first game between Libya and Niger had ended in goalless draw and a win for any of Dr Congo and Congo would send them on top of the table.
It was Dr Congo that announced their superiority on the log after Chico Ushindi Wa Kubanza struck early in the second half and that was enough to see the home side end the game 1-0 up.
Dr Congo will play as the away side to Libya in their next CHAN fixture on Thursday whiles Congo take on Niger in the other tie.
