Siphelele Ntshangase future at Kaizer Chiefs to be decided

Both Kaizer Chiefs and the player’s agent have given an indication of what will happen with Siphelele Ntshangase.

The 27-year-old’s career at the Absa Premiership log leaders has been stuck in the same place having failed to make a single appearance this season.

However, due to the club currently being banned from registering any new players by FIFA, his situation was expected to change.

When the player joined the club in January 2018 there were a lot of expectations from the supporters but so far he has not been able to work with a coach that favours his style of play.

“He will know about his future by Friday. It’s not him who gets to decide but surely he is expecting to know everything by Friday,” a source close to the player tells KickOff.com.

Ntshangase’s existing contract with The Glamour Boys expires at the end of this month and it is not yet clear if any official announcement will be forthcoming.

Chiefs are known to announce their transfer activity only at the end and start of every season, and the 2019/20 campaign is still expected to be finished.

“If that is the case I would be the first to know. It’s all rumours. This thing about his future being decided this week, I don’t get involved,” says his business manager Jazzman Mahlakgane.

“I’m his manager so I don’t have to… I can’t comment on things that don’t involve me you see. Everybody wants to get me involved in the boy’s future even during this Covid-19.

“So I keep on saying when something happens I will be the one sitting at the table. I will be the one who will be told that he must get a club. I will be the one told that the boy is staying.

“I will be the first one to know, not anybody else. Because I must be the one that gets to know where he must go.”

Chiefs communications manager Vina Maphosa says at this stage the club has not told him anything about that.

“If there’s an announcement, I will be told to inform the public, champ. When there’s something to announce I will be told.”
