The game was quite balanced in two sections, with Hearts of Oak dominating the first 20 minutes of the first half before Wa All Stars came into the game strongly dictating affairs in the remaining 25 minutes of the first half.

The Wa based side nearly took the lead during the closing stage of the first half as All Stars worked the ball nicely from midfield into Hearts penalty box but a strike from All Stars player missed the posts by an inch.

In what seemed to be the last scene to the end of the first half, Wa All Stars took a deserving lead, a player, after cutting in from the right edge of the box sent in a stunning curler into the far top right corner.
