Ghana Premier League: Yaw Annor scores at Bibiani Gold Stars to tie on goal-king with Mbella Etouga

With the 2021-2022 Ghana Premier League season coming to an end today Sunday 19th June, the goal-king is one area many are so interested of. Asante Kotoko leading man Franck Thierry Mbella Etouga led the chat with 21 goals as the Cameroonian International who failed to score in last day at Accra Lions could be surpassed by Yaw Annor.

The Ash Gold star has struck 20 times before his club head into last game of the season at Bibiani Gold Stars. And with almost 40′ minutes into Ash Gold clash at Gold Stars, Yaw Annor has netted to tie with Mbella Etouga in the Ghana Premier League top scorer.

His latest strike means Annor has 21 goals and addition will finally land him the top award for the 2021-2022 season and equals all-time record of the highest on a Ghanaian local calendar, 22 goals, set by former Hearts of Oak forward Ismael Addo in 2002.

A hat-trick will make Yaw Annor a new record holder of the all-time top scorer. The attacker has been linked with a move away from Ash Gold due to his impressive performances and could join Asante Kotoko, Simba SC, Kaizer Chiefs or European club next season.
