LIVERPOOL complete the signing of Red Bull Salzburg star Takumi Minamino, Player first words

Jurgen klopp side Liverpool have finally completed the signing of Takumi Minamino for just £7.25million from Red Bull Salzburg, Liverpool confirmed the transfer on Thursday.

According to reports, Manchester United were also interesting in bringing the player to Old Trafford but only saw the Japanese complete a move to Liverpool after just a short period of coming into contact with the European Champions.

He arrived on Wednesday to have his medical at Anfield and signed his four-and-half year contract after passing various medical examinations.

The Japanese shared a secrete thought that he has been dreaming to play for Jurgen Klopp’s side, and the EPL in general which he described as a “top-class league.”

‘It has been a dream, my dream to become a Liverpool player. And I’m so excited that the moment has come true,’ he told the club’s official website.

‘To play in the Premier League was one of my targets. I think this is the top-class league in the world; I was thinking if my career as a footballer progressed smoothly, some day I would be able to play in the Premier League.

‘But I never thought I would be able to play in this team and I’m really happy about it. I’m looking forward to it.

The Salzburg man will join his new team mates at Liverpool in January where he will wear the no. 18 Jersey.

The European Champions contest the Champions of South America Flamengo on Saturday 21st December for their first FIFA Club World Cup title after losing the 2005 final to another Brazilian club Sao Paulo.
