Aduana Stars extend Ghana Premier League lead after 3-2 win over Berekum Chelsea

Aduana Stars have extended their lead on the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League log after drubbing Berekum Chelsea in a regional derby on Sunday afternoon.

Aduana Stars managed to pick a 3-2 home win over Berekum Chelsea in their match-week nine encounter at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa.

The leaders looked lively from the commencement of the fixture mounting pressure on visitors but Berekum Chelsea were resolute at the back making decent tackling.

The first department of the game couldn’t produce any goal as it ended in a 0-0 draw.

Back from the break, Aduana Stars looked dangerous upfront as they staged an intense pressure on the back line of Chelsea.

Winger Emmanuel Gyamfi opened the score for Aduana Stars with a spectacular strike on the 62nd minute of the game.

Three minutes later, Gyamfi completed his day with another jaw-breaking goal to hand Aduana Stars a comfortable lead .

Diminutive attacking midfielder Sam Adams extended the lead for the home side with a cool finish on the 86th minute of the game.

Aduana Stars looked relaxed after registered three goals in the second half as the visitors mounted pressure on them to score two goals.

Defender Stephen Anokye Badu pulled one back for the visitors via spot kick, he neatly converted on the 93rd minute.

Berekum Chelsea were dangerous in the dying embers as Isaac Kwakye reduced the deficit for his side on the 95th minute but the minutes left wasn’t enough as the game ended in 3-2 win for Aduana Stars.
