Ghanaian forward John Yeboah scores debut goal as Willem II Tilburg cruise 4 past Heracles

The Ghanaian International made his debut in the Dutch Eredivisie from the bench few day after joining his new teammates, coming in for Ché Nunnely in the second half.

It took few minutes following Yeboah introduction for Willem II to add their third goal of the day, with this time the 20-year old netting on the 52nd minute.

Willem II dominated the first half but were prevented from grabbing any goal in the half as Ché Nunnely hold the 8th placed side to a goalless draw in the first 45 minutes.

However, they took an early lead in the second half when Evangelos Pavlidis find back of the net on the 46’ minute before Görkem Sağlam doubled the lead four minutes later.

The German-Ghanaian International Yeboah who joined his new side on loan from German outfit VFL Wolfsburg this summer extended the lead to 3-0 and Pavlidis got his double on the day when it was 6 minutes to full time.

Yeboah is yet to made any appearance for the Black Stars of Ghana but has capped for national youth sides of Germany.

The 20-year old began his youth career with Hamburg clubs SV Rönneburg and FC Türkiye Wilhelmsburg, before moving to youth team of VfL Wolfsburg in 2015.

In February 2018, Yeboah signed his first professional contract with Wolfsburg, lasting three years until 30 June 2021.
