Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak to battle for Emmanuel Agyemang Badu in January transfer

Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak could be battling for signature of former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu in the January transfer window.

Agyemang Badu could be set to join either Asante Kotoko or Hearts of Oak when the transfer window opens in January but Kotoko are ahead in the pursuit. .

The former Black Stars midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Asante Kotoko at the beginning of the season but completed a move to Great Olympics. Hearts were thought to have also listed Agyemang Badu on their shopping list.

Agyemang Badu has been undroppable since completing his move to Great Olympics. The former Black Stars man has impressed so far playing a big part in his side’s 1-1 draw in Ghana Premier League week 2 against Hearts of Oak.

Both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak need midfield reinforcements and have spotted the former Udinese midfielder. Asante Kotoko have the numbers together with the quality in center of the pitch but are still keeping tabs on the man they lost out in summer.

Kotoko reached agreement with Agyemang Badu over a move but the deal collapsed in last minute. After that, club CEO has still been tracking the target and is hoping for a breakthrough in January.

With Hearts of Oak appointing Slavko Matic, the Serbian is understood an admirer of Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and knee on bring him to the Accra Sports Stadium to boost his midfield.

Agyemang Badu’s last kick won Ghana the FIFA U20 Men’s World Cup in Egypt 2009 against Brazil. He was also part of Ghana 2010 AFCON squad and 2014 World Cup setup.
