OFFICIAL: Asante Kotoko announce Accra Sports Stadium as next venue for home games till the end of the season

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko were in hunt for a new venue for the season’s home games after the Ministry of Youth and Sports and National Sports Authority collaborated to close down the Baba Yara Sports Stadium temporality.

The Ghanaian Champions were reported to considering the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, Cape Coast Stadium and the Accra Sports Stadium to host their remaining home games of the season.

Despite initial reports pointing out the Cape Coast Stadium as the likeliest Stadium to be selected by the Ghanaian giants, Kotoko have defiled all the odds to announce the Accra Sports Stadium as their new home grounds until they resume to the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi at the end of the season.

Kotoko’s decision to use the Accra Sports Stadium means five different clubs now play their home games at the current venue which are Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics, Inter Allies, Legon Cities FC and now Asante Kotoko.

Kotoko made the official announcement on their twitter handle on Friday afternoon.
