Hearts of Oak transfer target Moro Salifu reportedly closing in on move to Egyptian side Al ittihad

Bechem United captain Moro Salifu is reportedly closing in on a move to Egyptian outfit Al Ittihad.

The Ghanaian International has attracted huge interest from the Ghana Premier League and African since the end of Ghana local season.

He was splendid in Bechem United’s campaign helping his side avoid relegation where they placed 13th on the league log with 42 points.

The Ghana Premier League star has been linked with a move to Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak who have qualified for next month’s Caf Champions League and need major reinforcement.

They viewed Salifu as one of the men but failed to reach agreement with the player’s club despite opening contacts due to the Bechem United’s heavy asking price.

With Salifu ready for Hearts’ move, failure of agreement between Bechem United and Hearts of Oak saw the Ghana International consider Al Masry’s switch who had been monitoring the player from afar while Hearts were in operation.

The 22-year old flew to Egypt last week to complete Al Masry move but negotiations broke down midway before Alexandria-based top flight side Al Ittihad surged into the transfer scene.

The Egyptian side have reportedly be on negotiations with Bechem United for days now as move edges closer. According to reports in GhanaSoccerNet, talks between the Ghana Premier League outfit and EPL side are in advanced stage.

The reports suggest that the deal could be confirmed in coming days with a fee around $150,000-200,000 expected to get Al Ittihad the Ghanaian midfielder.

Moro Salifu was outstanding for his Ghanaian side who escaped relegation in the second round of the season.

Despite his defensive role, he was very instrumental for Bechem United having contributed to seven goals and won five Man-Of-The-Match awards.

The 22-year-old earlier this year was included in the Black Stars B squad that played Uzbekistan in an international friendly. Ghana lost 2-1 in the Asian land.
