Adom Frimpong joins Asante Kotoko after completing two weeks of successful trails

Asante Kotok have completed the signing of midfielder Kwame Adom Frimpong on Friday evening. The Midfielder held a two weeks trail with Kotoko before his impressive display forced the technical team of the Kumasi club to offer Adom Frimpong a permanent three year deal.

The utility midfielder played two seasons for Swedish side Mjallby AIF before completing the whole of last season with Salalah FC in Oman.

The attacking midfielder embraced the opportunity of joining Asante Kotoko, and disclosed that the Ghanaian champions remain his childhood club.

“I am very happy to be here. I have yearned for this opportunity since childhood.” Frimpong told Kotoko Express App,

Adom Frimpong also aims at helping Asante Kotoko to reach the level they belong and fight for the team to win trophies.

“I am very happy to be here, I will work hard to help the team to progress. I want to win titles, I came here to fight for a permanent place in the team. The season starts soon and I’m going to fight for the team to win titles.”

He is one of those players who are currently on trials at Asante Kotoko, and have booked three years contract with Maxwell Konadu’s side.  He is expected to make his debut against Hearts of Oak in the Presidential Cup tomorrow at Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
