U-23 AFCON: Ghana vs South Africa confirmed lineups as Kwabena Owusu starts for Ghana

Ibrahim Tanko has made one change to his eleven that were beat 3-2 on penalties by Ivory Coast in the semifinals of the U-23 AFCON. Ghana’s top scorer in the AFCON Kwabena Owusu replaces Robin Polley up front- who was replaced in the first half against Ivory Coast.

Kwabena Owusu scored two goals against Mali in the last group game before registering a hard fought assist in Ghana’s second goal against Ivory Coast in the semifinals.

Kwabena Owusu will start on the right side of attack, Evans Mensah on the left and Yaw  Yeboah in middle of the attacking trio whiles Samuel Obeng leads the line as the lone striker against South Africa at the Cairo International Stadium.

Ghana XI 4-2-3-1: Kwame Baah, Kingsley Fobi, Edward Sarpong, Fuseini Zakaria, Habib Mohammed, Emmanuel Lomotey, Michael Agbekpornu, Evans Mensah, Samuel Obeng, Yaw Yeboah, Kwabena Owusu.

South Africa 4-3-3: Mondli Mpoto, Keagan Johannes, Thendo Mukumela, Tercious Malepe, Katlego Mohamme, Teboho Mokoena, Athenkosi  Dlala, Keletso Makgalwa, Grant Magerman, Luther Singh, Lyle Forster.
