Great Olympics beat King Faisal to hand second consecutive defeat

King Faisal have recorded their second consecutive defeat in the league after narrowly slipping to a 2-1 loss against Great Olympics in an epic week 14 tie at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.

The home team with a usual line up for this clash as goalkeeper Steven Kwaku remained in goal with key players like Maxwell Abbey Quaye, James Akaminko, Razak Kasim all named in starting XI.

With King Faisal, goalkeeper Kofi Baah maintains the post, Samuel Kusi and Mawuli Wayo also returned into the team after missing their last game
The ‘Dade’ outfit had a great start to the game having created some decent opportunities in the opening minutes but the resilient backline of King Faisal were always quick to tidy up their area.
The ‘Insha Allah’ side begun to settle well in the game after holding on to so much pressure from the host but penetration was always difficult for their attackers.
Mawuli Wayo as usual will always want to be the link between their midfield and wings to attack but the presence of James Akaminko and Razak Kasim made it really tedious for the latter.
The home team after their constant pressure finally opened the scoring account on the 31st minute through Solomon Adomako.
Back from recess, King Faisal had a good start having scored to level things after just seven minutes from the break.
Young sensation Zubairu with a fine finish on the 52nd minute to hit his seventh goal of the season.
The homesters afterwards took charge of the game and made so many decent attempts on goal but great reflexes from goalkeeper Kofi Baah kept the scoreline a draw after the 70th minute.

Finally, Ebenezer Sekyere netted a crucial one on the 80th minute to restore their lead. Just what they kept on hunting and striving for.

It ended 2-1 for Great Olympics in the capital who have now ended their recent appalling three game winless run.
