Asante Kotoko new signing Enock Morrison reacts after defeat to Al Hilal Omdurman
Asante Kotoko midfielder Enoch Morrison has reacted to his sides defeat against Al Hilal in a preseason friendly.
Morrison made his debut for the Porcupine Warriors as they lost 2-0 to the Sudan giants.
Kotoko had began their preseason in Ghana beating lower sides Panthers FC and Ghana Army FC in Accra before making a trip to Sudan for the second part of their preseason.
The Reds were surprised with the 2-0 score line but there was a good news for Enock Morrison who was handed his debut few weeks after joining the Ghanaian champions from city rivals King Faisal.
The midfielder had a good game lining up in midfield with Ivorian man Serge Zeze and newly appointed skipper Richard Boadu in three man midfield.
Morrison on a number of occasions opened up Al Hilal’s central wall but Kotoko’s forwards were a bit inaccurate in front of goal leading to the barren stance in the 2-0 loss.
After the game he wrote on his twitter handle. “Great Game.. lessons learnt. Very Good Experience. We Stay Focus”, the former King Faisal star indicated in a post.
Hilal scored in each half to defeat Kotoko, who are in Sudan preparing for the 2022/23 season.
In the 42nd minute, Senegalese youngster Lamine Jarjou scored for Al Hilal, giving the Blue Jewels a 1-0 lead.
Khater Awad’s goal in the 88th minute sealed Al Hilal’s victory over the Porcupine Warriors.
