Simba SC planning move for Karela United forward and Ghana Premier League top scorer Diawisie Taylor

Ghana Premier League top scorer Diawisie Taylor has attracted numerous interest with Simna SC the latest club to have eyes on the Ghanaian International.

Simba knee on continuing their dominance in the Tanzania Premier League and keep pace with their recent success in the Caf Champions League. They have played in the group stages and quarter-finals of the competition which is a massive improved achievement in club’s history of the African club football.

Like many other Champions League competitors, Simba are hunting for the best players across African but they are on verge of losing key men after announcing the departure of Luis Miquissone and Clatous Chama.

“Simba wishes to inform the public in the current transfer window it received several offers for its players from various clubs across the continent,” read the statement from the club.

“Simba has officially reached an agreement with two foreign clubs over the permanent transfer of two of its players – Clatous [Chama] and Luis [Miquissone].

“Our collective team successes in the Caf Champions League in recent years has opened doors for the duo to be seen abroad.

“We are extremely grateful to Chama and Luis [Miquissone] for their incredible service to the club throughout their time at Simba and we will always treasure the wonderful memories they left us with.

“As they move onto the next chapter of their professional careers, we wish them great success; Chama and Miquissone will forever be part of the Simba family.”

As new signings have already began in Dar es Salaam, finding Miquissone’s replacement has become the major priority at Simba since last week.

Miquissone, Mozambique, 26, reportedly has agreement to join Al Ahly but interest in South Africa and Brighton ace Percy Tau has stalled progress of Miquissone’s move to the African record holders of the Champions League.

Although a host of names have been linked to the void created by Miquissone’s departure, Diawisie Taylor appears the latest and frontrunner according to reports in Tanzania.

Simba are ready to open negotiations for the Ghanaian International who have also been eyed by Ghana Premier League giants Asante kotoko. But with few misunderstanding hit the camp of the Ghana Premier League side, Simba could capitalized and secure the Ghanaian’s signature.

However, Simba may also need to fight off competition from Orlando Pirates- who have targeted yet another Ghana Premier League forward- by submitting an offer faster or outbidding the Soweto giants.

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) side have reportedly agreed to sign Ghana Premier League second top scorer Kwame Peprah and knee on adding Diawisie Taylor who finished Ghana’s season as top scorer with 18 goals.

Simba have launched a league surpass off rivals Young Africans, and while they are on track of  that after winning four consecutive titles to break Yang’s three consecutive times since 2014, Simba are looking up for nothing but to extend their dominance of the Tanzanian top fligh to uncalculated number.

To achieve that is the club’s direction to sign young and talented players and that is where the Dar es Salaam based side have a sleepless night over Diawisie Taylor who is only 21-years and a member of the Black Stars though he missed out on recent CK Akonnor 30-man call up for next month’s World Cup qualifiers.

Whether Karela United would sell is another important question to know. The Ghana Premier League side have decided to sell but only for the right prize and Simba could submit a reported $400,000 for Taylor.

However, Karela United is understood to value their prize asset around $500, 000-$600, 000 as Simba may hope to negotiate for a reduced price.
