PAUL POGBA is reportedly refusing to play for Manchester United despite being fit in a bid to push through a January move to Real Madrid.

The French midfielder has been out of action since the 1-1 draw with Arsenal in September with a foot injury and there has been lots of speculation about his future, most of it all linking to Real Madrid move.

The 26-year-old has spent time in Miami after having his cast removed and was filmed playing basketball as he continues his rehabilitation.

Although manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had no problem with the midfielder playing basketball: “We don’t play basketball. I don’t see many basketball players tackling ankles, twisting and turning with studs.

“He’s not ready to train.’

“He had another test and scan just at the start of the international break and it’s not healed yet,’ the United boss said in a press conference last week.

“He’s stepping up the recovery so he doesn’t have to have the cast on.

“He’s been out for six or seven weeks so he’s gradually stepping it up, walking, on the treadmill and bike. We hope to see him in 2019.”

Pogba was recently in Dubai as he continued to step up his recovery and Solskjaer will be hoping the midfielder is available to play as quickly as possible as his side are currently ninth in the league, nine points off the top four.

United could’ve cut that gap but let in a late equaliser against Sheffield United in yesterday’s 3-3 draw at Bramall Lane.
